Celebrating 400 years of modern astronomy and the 40th anniversary of Mankind’s first steps on the Moon, Blackpool Astronomy and the Royal Astronomical Society take you on a journey from Galileo to the Hubble Space Telescope and beyond.

Meet Galileo! Drive a Mars Rover! Learn how an amateur can explore the universe. Discover theories about the big bang, alien life and more. Have a bite to eat in the cafe or enjoy a picnic in the gardens before you take a stroll around the solar system.

Autumn MoonWatch 24 October – 1 November

We shall be holding public observing events - "Sidewalk Astronomy" - from the promenade and other locations around the Fylde (weather permitting)

Observe the Moon at first quarter, and see some of the moon's largest craters in great detail.
